Friday was a spectacular day, the weather was mint and we went to the Dry Valleys to conduct some minor repairs on the radio repeater sites. These Wright and Victoria valleys are around a 45 minute flight from Scott Base and we needed to call into two of our radio repeaters. Last time I was here in October the weather was colder and there was more wind, this time we had a brilliant day and we were lucky enough to see whales jumping up at the sea ice edge on the flight home.
